Ovarian rejuvenation therapy

Ovarian Rejuvenation therapy

Ovarian Rejuvenation therapy is a relatively new experimental procedure that is designed to stimulate the ovaries to produce more eggs and improve fertility in women who have a low ovarian reserve. The procedure involves injecting platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the ovaries, which contains growth factors that may help to promote the growth of new ovarian tissue.

During the procedure, a small amount of blood is taken from the patient, which is then processed to extract the PRP. The PRP is then injected into the ovaries using a thin needle under ultrasound guidance.

The procedure is typically performed on an outpatient basis and takes less than an hour to complete. Patients may experience mild discomfort during the procedure, but there is typically no significant pain or downtime associated with the treatment.

While there is some anecdotal evidence to suggest that Ovarian Rejuvenation therapy may improve ovarian function and fertility in some women, there is currently limited scientific evidence to support its effectiveness. As such, the procedure is still considered experimental, and it's important to discuss the potential risks and benefits with a qualified healthcare provider before deciding to undergo the treatment.
